Ah - good question. It's because our Warehouse in this example is BigQuery. This means for dbt to push down queries to bigQuery from ECS, ECS needs to have the authentication creds for BigQuery. Yes sorry we should have used Redshift or Snowflake for this example, would have been less confusing!
